I am Stephanie Mazzarello.

While my last name is Italian, I am not. I can thank my wonderful husband for that beautiful gift.

My ancestry can be traced back to Northwestern Europe, but the first time I went to Italy it felt like home. The people, architecture and art pulled me in, while the food won my heart. I also love that every Italian tries to speak to me in Italian. I am sure it is the dark hair, but I like to think that they can see my passion for Italia.

My husband often comments on my strong reactions to eating food. Sometimes it is external and exuberant, while often it is a very deep and almost spiritual experience. I can’t help but find the pleasure in food to be one of the best presents we all can receive.
